We'd been looking for a dog to adopt since ours passed away two years ago. Unfortunately, the English Pointer breed is not very popular in Southern California, so we hadn't been having any luck. On a whim, my daughter in college in Ohio spotted Trigger in an on-line add from a shelter in Northern California. He sounded perfect for us, but how to get him from Northern California to San Diego since the shelter needed him out ASAP due to their large volume of animals. In addition, the animal shelter hours were completely out of sync with my work hours, so I almost dropped the whole idea. Enter uShip, which I also found by accident on line. After a brief registration, I went to bed not really thinking it would work. By morning, I had 3 bids for the job, all offering to bring him within 48 hours. Now, after only discovering Trigger a few days ago, he is resting in his new bed in his new home, nearly 500 miles from the shelter where he could have easily been put to sleep. He is a wonderful, sweet pet, and uShip got him out of there quickly, and saved me from a near 1000 mile drive! And, I saved a ton of time, and a ton of money! Only $150 total, or about one third the price of an airline ticket or driving my own car all those miles.
