We've had our parrot in the family for 33 years, but we had to leave him behind when we moved because we were temporarily living in our travel trailer in which there was no room for a large parrot cage. When it came time to bring him up, I was very concerned about shipping a bird which is very susceptible to drafts and cold. And unfortunately the timing was bad financially. But our shipper bid a reasonable price and cared for our parrot in a manner with which I was very pleased.
The only thing I was disappointed with was what uShip charged our shipper. I was under the impression that the $38.70 fee (based on our shipper's bid amount) was their only charge, but I found out uShip also kept the deposit I had to pay after I accepted the bid. If they had been up-front about where that money went, I wouldn't have been so disappointed with them, but because they called it a "deposit," I assumed it went to the shipper. I felt rather deceived by that.
