This is the first time I have shipped an animal and I chose to try uShip. I am very happy and grateful for the experience. I needed to ship my dog, Tonka, to his new home with my sister (about 1200 miles away), but shipping him by air cargo was very inconvenient as we both would have to travel quite a distance to reach airports and I needed to ship Tonka on short notice and during the summer. I placed my bid on uShip and within a short time received a very good bid from Expediated Logistics Services. It was $150 less than other bids from pet shipment companies! I was thrilled! That was just the beginning. John was very professional and easy to work with. We were able to arrange pickup within the next couple of days and it was so convenient. He picked up Tonka at my house and delivered him directly to my sister's front door. He even offered to provide food. My sister was thrilled with the service, too. Tonka arrived safely and happily and was so relaxed that he settled right in to his new home. John was also easy to contact during travel which gave me greater piece of mind. I truly felt like he treated Tonka like one of his own pets. I couldn't imagine a better shipping experience. And, since transport was by ground, I never had to worry about temperature restrictions or be concerned about Tonka's health in the heat as I would have if he had been shipped as air cargo. Further, Tonka was never left alone as John was with him the whole time. The whole experience was so smooth that it gave me one less thing to worry about during my own very stressful household move.
