We shipped a 16 foot cargo trailer filled with our 1 bedroom apartment from London, Ontario to Vancouver, BC.
Communication with Jack was great! Everytime we emailed him or text him we got an immediate response. He helped us out in the beginning by stopping on his way to pick up a spare tire that we had said we would have ready before he got there. We reimbursed Jack for the tire.
Jack had some truck problems en route that delayed him a few days, however the communication was great and on our end we did not give him a deadline so this was fine with us.
Jack was accommodating on the day of his arrival as there was a marathon going on and he couldn't access our parking lot, so met us at a storage locker later in the day.
Upon arrival at the storage locker I noticed that there was some damage to the trailer. There was damage to the stand of the trailer, as well as a screw popped out of the side. The trailer was extremely dirty (however it did travel across the country). As we unpacked our belongs, we right away noticed that there was broken and damaged furniture. A wooden mirror stand was completely broken, materials and other belongings were scatted. There was damage to the couch, a dresser, the kitchen table top, the large wooden media centre, all which were packed extremely tight with cardboard, blankets and sheets as protection.
I just want to say that I have personally moved many times, as well as helped others move. I know that my trailer was packed correctly and with extra care for the long trip. It leaves me wondering if my trailer was unnecessarily taken on rough side roads while Jack was doing other shipments which we were aware he was doing along the way. Either way, we believe that better care could have been taken to get our belongings and trailer here undamaged. On our end we did not say "handle with care", however we should not have to articulate that just to get our stuff here in good condition.
