I was looking for a specific make/model/year of motorcycle with low mileage. After several months of looking, I found one in Alabama. I bought it figuring I'd find a way to get it somehow. I decided to try uShip. The bids were higher than I expected. Finally the one I chose put in a reasonable bid. I probably could have bargained more but I was happy with the price. So, I contracted with them and paid the deposit via credit card. I talked to them ahead of time and asked if I could send them a certified check that they would present to the seller upon pickup and if they would call me on pickup and verify the condition of the motorcycle. They agreed to both. So, we sent them a check via priority mail. About 4 days later I got an email from them letting me know they check arrived. About 4 or 5 days after that I called, just curious as to when they would pick up the bike. They said something like "tomorrow" - whatever it was, I was fine with it. So, I got a call within 10 minutes of when they said they would call, they said the bike looked like it was brand new and I said - ok, go ahead and pick it up. During the next week I called twice to see where it was since it wasn't being tracked via uShip. Once it was between Detroit and NYC. Then, on 3/5 I rcvd and email at 8:22 am that my bike was being delivered that day - any questions, call. So, I called. They said the driver would call one hour prior to arrival. So I waited. At 4:00 I called - I had an appointment that evening and had to leave. They said no problem, the driver is still in NYC and wouldn't be there until at least late that night or the next morning. No problem, I just wish they had told me that earlier in the day. Anyhow, the bike arrived at 8:15 the next morning. The driver didn't call and when I asked he said he didn't have my phone number. What?! Oh well, the bike was in perfect shape so I really didn't care too much, especially since it was delivered on a Saturday. I'm happy.
