My son moved from south Florida to Washington state for medical reasons, and we were unable to bring his companion dog, Lucy, who is a rescue dog turned service dog in training, with us right away. Sallyspekinese brought Lucy all the way, with all her gear (toys, bowls, leashes) that would not have been able to travel with her had she flown. Also, the temperatures in south Florida get too hot for cargo shipping before the temperatures in Spokane are warm enough, at least this year, so we were dealing with a a wierd scheduling problem. Regina brought Lucy all the way, and took excellent care of her. I got text messages and phone calls every step of the way. Lucy was picked up and delivered door-to-door. It would have cost hundreds more for the service we received if we had had to use air cargo and ground transportation to the airport, plus an extra crate, and an additional vet visit - her certificate was 12 days old, and is good on the airlines for 10, even if they are the ones who cancel due to weather! Lucy is now here with Matt, and training for her full time job as his service animal. What a godsend! Thank you Sally's Pekinese and Regina Brumley!
