well, i was contacted by a lovely woman that due to some health reasons had to rehome her horses. i told her that i was full up but if she sent me some photos i would email out to all my horsey friends and classmates from equine husbandry. she sent me the photos and i immediately sent out all but one - one horse was just magnificent- a belgian with a flaxen mane and a tail to the ground. i showed the picture to my husband and talked him into it! i know my friends were jealous as they contacted her and heard of this other horse, but i had already told her i was not forwarding the picture of shelby on as i wanted her... we have a truck and trailer but it was a 6 hour trip each way. that is definately do-able, but, makes for a very long day. so, i decided to place an ad on u-ship and see what happened. i did receive all sorts of bids from expensive to 'how could we not?'. and thatis what we did-my husband and i decided that it would be so much easier on us, if we booked a reputable shipper and we can stay home on the farm. we figured that the great price that was quoted to us was well worth it-we would have spent more than 1/2 of that on gas. we would have wear and tear on our equipment and had to stop for food, and then worry if everything was o.k. while we were so far from home. jackwrabbit delivered our beautiful shelby safe and sound in an almost identical trailer to what we own (a very large one) we knew that she had a comfortable ride and what's even better we had her! i was told about uship a couple of years ago by my sister-i tell people about it all the time-what a great thing to have. i've used it for horses and sheep and will continue to use it.... thanks so much. cindy
