I bought some rims and tires off craigslist in Arizona for a very good price. The only problem was that I live in Chicago and I didnt consider the cost of shipping the rims nor did I know how much they weighed. A friend of mine bought it for me and they were in his care for the time being. I looked EVERYWHERE to find the cheapest possible way to ship my rims and tires. The dimensions of each tire were too big and they weighed ALOT with the tire on them too. I was looking for the cheapest way possible without turning my really good deal on my rims into a very expensive mistake. I asked my friend to start packing my rims so he could get ready to ship them. I got a call from him the next day saying that packaging all four rims into boxes would be another 75 dollars. and with my research for the cheapest shipping with USPS it came out to about 150. So I was really shocked that I would have to spend about another 225 to ship them to Chicago. I started googling shipping deals and came across Uship.com. At first I was skeptical, because it said it was free to join and it is a venue where other people bid on your items passing savings along to you. Boy, were they right. They def. passed some savings my way. As soon as i posted my listing, within an hour I had bids coming in for many days straight. The best thing was the cell phone alert telling you that a shipper has bid on your item. You were always informed about your shipment in so many ways. Then it was time to select the lowest bidder but I had no trust in the system because it was my first time using it. The shipper feedback rating helped alot too. I finally overcame my confidence and booked the shipment and I didnt even have to package my rims. I saved ALOT of $$. The shipper picked them up as promised and I knew my shipment was secure because I would get a call from the shipper every couple days keeping me informed. I would def. use Uship again.
