As a nation wide breeder of golden retrievers for 12 years I have puppies in most every state. Previously I would fly them out for 350.-$400.& my 3-4 hours airport trip added $150.to the shipping costs totalling $650. That added to the shipping problem because all snub nosed dogs have breathing difficulties in extreem heat or cold. Both vet and airline regulations preclude flying then. Entire seasons of winter and summer may be blocked out per weather concerns. Sometimes the temperature may be OK at the departure and destination, but the airline flys through a hub where the temp is too hot or too cold. A puppy can be stranded enroute, while the purchaser sits & waits helplessly at the destination airport. When a shipper can add side jobs to his already established trip he can do it for much less and that is win/win for shipper & consumer. I felt safe as my personal info was not given until I picked my shipper & through emails & phone calls we became like old friends.
