I shipped a golf cart to my father for his 80th birthday. The entire process began as quite a coincidence. My father has always wanted a golf cart, but wasn't really sure how he was going to be able to get one. I work at a large tennis facility in a large metropolitan area and as it turns out, we had an old golf cart sitting around that was not working and determined to be not worth the cost of repair. So the plan was toremove the cart from our inventory and hopefully find someone that could just remove the cart from our property. I was offered the opporunity to take the cart for no cost if I could remove it from the property. I was lucky enough to be introduced to a mechanic at a nearby golf course. I was able to tow the cart to the mechanic's shop, left it there and waited to hear the bad news about how much it was going to cost to repair. I received a call from the mechanic later the same day, telling me that the cart was fixed, that it was running beautifully and that it would only cost me $150. I couldn't believe what I was hearing(the tennis facility had spent over $800 on repairs for this cart in the past year!). After this good luck, my next thought was how I was going to get cart to my father, who lives 200 miles away. I use the internet quite a bit, so of course I did a search, and to my good fortune, eventually came across uShip. Before I got to this point, I had called at least a half-dozen shippers who quoted me prices in the area of $500 - $600. I had never heard of uShip before this, so when I find it on the internet, I thought I'd give it a try. Well, to make a long story short, I ended up saving at least $250 on my shipment. So within the period of a little more than a week, I procured a golf cart, got it fixed, got it shipped and made my father very happy for his birthday. The entire process from start to finish could not have been easier. I would have to say that finding uShip was a fabulous blessing.
