My company relocated me to Las Vegas and our boat was in Indiana. With the cost of gas ever increasing it would have cost me Around $2000 in gas just to go back and pick it up myself, that doesn't include hotels and meals. Plus I would have wasted 5 days of vacation and sat in a car for 6 days (round trip). So to find someone that would haul it to me for around $2000 was a blessing.
We were flexible with our times which I know helped the hauler. He was able to coordinate every and deliver my boat to me when he said he would.
