My husband had been wanting to work on his sailboat, a very big project, but getting to FL regularly just wasn't feasible...so he decided to ship it to our acreage in IA. Like everytime we sailed there was a story to tell, well, same for the shipping. Actually, the shipping itself went well...it was getting everyone into position, then lifting it off & setting it on our land (by our barn, no less). That was about an 8 hour challenge...but, I can't say enough about the great people helping us that day. New friendships formed, great teamwork...Brian our semi driver, Lynn our crane operator, my Dad, all so very helpful...that's the part I will remember most of that day...the love, respect, & helpfullness of all involved!!! A long but wonderfully awesome day!
