We found ourselves needing to transport 2 Coatimundi from Ohio to Florida in a short time frame, and were considering shipping through the airlines, as this would be the most expedient way to do it, and our only option to get it done fast. But shipping by plane is very stressful on animals, especially on exotics and wildlife, which are my primary focus. I found uShip online and thought, well, it can't hurt, but I really needed an answer that day, so my hopes were not high. But lo and behold, I received a response within an hour! I had already located an inexpensive airline carrier, and the carrier I located here (CandyO) was able to match their price so closely I could not refuse. He lowered his price because he didn't "want to see these animals on a plane." I liked that he was thinking about the animals as living beings with needs, and not just treating them as 'another shipment'. When he picked them up, the people shipping them to me did not include any food for their trip, so he went out of his way and purchased foods for them, after he contacted me to see what would be okay to offer them. When they arrived at my door, they were obviously not stressed by the trip at all, and the carrier even had trouble leaving them, I think. He had established a relationship with them, and I was grateful that their trip had been a good experience for all. I would definitely use this shipper again, and will come to uShip FIRST, the next time I decide to price shipping anything.
