I used Arne Sand to ship an incredibly rare, and completely non restored but intact and complete vintage firetruck from the 40's from up state New York to Columbus ohio. The truck was made by the Seagraves firetruck company in Columbus Ohio, and I was bringing her back home where she was made. Arne was very professional in how he took care of us, his shipping price was much lower than anyone else by far. I was leery since I had never used U ship before, but my own calling around found carriers that would bring this 20,000 pound firetruck that distance for around 3 thousand dollars. Arne was willing to do it for 1400. He was incredibly personable, very kind, and easy to get along with and work with. He was willing to work around our changing schedule, and work around the weather so that the truck was well taken care of. His trailer and truck were perfect for this 37 foot long monster of a firetruck. Arne was always available by phone for numerous questions, and change of plans for pick up and drop off necessitated by weather and peoples schedules. He loaded up the truck, and followed all my requests perfectly for securing the equipment on the truck so it didn't get lost on the road. He drove through one of the worst storms of the year to get the truck to us, and arrived without a hitch. He was then willing to work with us when we changed the drop off point due to the weather. The most incredible part of the story is he was incredibly friendly, and pleasant the entire time, and was never irritated by all our requests. At first I was worried about using U ship, but with the outstanding experience I have had, I would definately use Arne again, but would also use U ship again due to the savings, and the wonderful experience Arne gave us.
