Our son's in the military so when he moved to California from Indiana we had to find a way to get his two cats there. When we checked the airlines, we were surprised that 1) some don't even accept pets, 2) those that do won't take them in hotter weather for fear they might overheat waiting on the Tarmac (pretty much ruled out sending them by air since they were headed for the Mojave Desert) and 3) it costs a heckuva lot more than we had imagined. I came across uShip doing a web search. At first we were nervous, not knowing what to expect. I think we even missed out on a couple of bids because we took too long deciding. Finally we mustered up our courage and accepted a bid. We are sure glad we did. We saved a bunch of money and knew the cats were being taken care of the whole way - a trip of more than 2,000 miles.
