As a first time buyer on E-bay I was inexperienced and totally lost as of what to do. I bought a car in richmond Virigina and I live in Winnipeg,Manitoba, Canada. which is about 1900 miles away. The dealership( Royal Chevrolet) I bought the car from was great and very patient. My stress level elevated once I tried to find a car transporter to bring the car as close to the border as possible and then I would drive the car back into Canada. I went on the internet in search of a auto transporter and must have gotten a least a 100 Quotes to my E Mail as well as phone calls and everyone promising the world (fast pickup and delivery and the best price in town). Not knowing any better I hired one who seemed to have good references with a good track record. Not the cheepest but reasonable. Turns out to be a transportation broker( probably working out of his home)which I was aware of but thought I'd give it a try. What a joke. I was trying to get the car up to Grand Forks ND. After several attempts to reach the broker as to why the car wasn"t moving he told me he was trying to reach me through E-mail and was using .com instead of .ca Bull, as I sent him several E-mails trying to reach him. After phoning him direct he told me Grand Forks was considered a dead zone for freight movement. I asked if changing the pickup location would help(Fargo or even Minneapolis) More promises with no results. After 6 weeks of nothing and a very patient dealership I tried the UShip site. Best thing I ever did. Had solid responses within the first hour and had a trucker (Jims auto and towing) booked within that hour. He picked up the car the very next day and delivered within days after that. He kept us informed, did a condition report and delivered the car in perfect condition as planned. Long story short, use UShip. Told everyone about the UShip site and would never use anything else to try to move something. Great Great site and a definite stress reliever. Happy and calm.
