I finally received my sailboat delivery via Northern Builders,(in good cond.)and they seem to be a good and responsible company.
Previous to that I was robbed by a u-ship hauler for $800.00(gas dep.) and my deposit from U-ship was not refunded, reason being, they denied my cancellation. Now the hauler (Greg,w/ahiowner) after receiving my deposit, failed to answer my calls or e-mails for at least 4-5 weeks, let alone p/u or deliver my boat, (which left me in a tight spot with the seller), if this does not constitute, or deserve a cancellation I sure don't know what does. He also has not refunded my $800 and of course no correspondence. I paid through Pay Pal, no help from them, and u-ship denies my cancellation, presumably so they do not have to refund their portion of deposit or be responsible for the mess in any way.
It seems someone (u-ship or pay pal) should have insurance for these situations, after all they are making money on each shipment and should bear some responsibility.
I encourage either of these parties to contact me and do the right thing and refund my deposits.Or if anyone has any ideas as to my next move I would be grateful.
Attorney General perhaps?
