I was having a Rayburn (like an AGA) delivered. Typically weighing between 350-450kg, it's a very item.
We bought it through Gumtree, and had it picked up in Derbyshire, and delivered to the Scottish Borders.
I had a number of bids within 24 hours, and by booking through uShip it meant the price was driven down, and operators nearby could bid for the job. If they're nearer the item then the cost is obviously cheaper, but could I find a courier nearby just by doing a search online myself? No.
The courier I used was faultless and would recommend him to anyone.
I'd also use uShip again. Particularly for ebay and gumtree items!
