We have been in business for 21 years and arrange for close to 10,000 shipments each year. The carrier that we gave this shipment to is a national carrier with an excellent reputation and will handle small loads for us. There is no excuse for the carrier losing the sofa but we do offer insurance in the unlikely event that loss or damage occurs to shipments. We are doing everything in our power to find the shipment but have been unable to so far. We issued a full refund a month ago. Response from Peter L.: The "National Carrier with the excellent reputation that you outsourced this to did not even keep paperwork on the THIRD middleman that they passed it on to. TransitSystems refunded only the deposit...hardly compensation for my lost $2500 sofa. There was NO offer of insurance...the caveat is buried in their PROFILE fine print. Neither TransitSystems nor NE REtail has returned a single phone call ever! My sofa is probably in their employee lounge!
