Well, I should start by saying that I was more than a little reluctant to use Uship. I had seen the show shipping wars and could not imagine dealing with Jarrett or Roy although Jennifer Brennan would have been a welcomed sight...WOW! I had requested a quote from an independent hauler and thought his price was reasonable considering the distance but it always pays to shop around. After reading some reviews on Uship, I decided it couldn't hurt to post an ad to see what kind of offers I would receive. Within a couple days I had several bids averaging over 30% below the price quoted by the independent hauler. After a few questions back and forth on the Uship website (very easy to use/navigate) I accepted a bid from TGSContracting and the owner (Tony) contacted me immediately. He was more than flexible in accommodating my parents schedule (pick up location) and my schedule on the receiving end. Tony takes his job very seriously and carries himself with the utmost professionalism. The pickup location for this shipment is a bit of a nightmare...a long winding driveway in the middle of the countryside with absolutely no room to turn around. Tony was able get in and get out without any issue whatsoever. After securing my bike in his trailer, he sent me pictures to show how he had tied it down and kept me updated on his progress over the trip. Three days later my bike, golf clubs and a box of random gear arrived safe and sound in Edmonton...no Jennifer :( To say I was satisfied with TGSContracting would be an understatement and that's coming from a natural skeptic. In the event my friends, family or I have any shipping needs in the future, I would most definitely use and strongly recommend TGSContracting. Overall my Uship experience was way better/easier than expected. It's operators like Tony that maintain the integrity of this service offering peace of mind for any shipment of any distance.
