The clutch in our Zafira burned out and the RAC took it to a dealer.
Typical dealer. Car being towed in by the rescue services, closed sales opportunity, fagen like hand rubbing. The morals of a merchant banker!
Quote was astronomical, with a lead time to match. Sympathetic salesman discussed trade in for a new Vauxhall.
Dejected and deflated googled for new clutches.... Found "Mr clutch".
Problem: garage car recovered to over 20 miles from Mr Clutch garage.
Googled again for car transports intending to a cost/benefit on shipping the car privately. Eureka discovered Uship. Couldn't believe my luck.
Car was shipped the following day and clutch replaced along with brakes the day after that.
All in all in the space of three days car was back operational for less than half the cost of the quote from the dealer garage.
