I found uShip to be a very helpful resource in planning my move. I can't imagine having done a cross-country move within 6 weeks, without a site like uShip. I did not end up using a big professional mover who would have charged close to $10K for my move. Instead, I found a great independent mover who did a great job, was highly cost-effective, and was a very straight-forward person to work with.
