I bought a bike off eBay and was thinking about flying or driving down (200 miles) to pick it up. Then I came across the uShip website and decided to give it a go.
The website is very helpful in advertising my job, with suggestions about average times to transport, average costs, and options to consider like, Fixed rate, need it now, etc.
Anyway, within minutes of posting my add, I started receiving offers. First came the expensive ones, then as time went on, the offers started getting to around what uShip had said.
Luckily for me and one lucky driver, he was an hour away from where the pickup point was and had a good offer, so I checked out his credentials (what routes he runs, what goods he moves, what his feedback was, etc) and all being good, offered him the job. I gave him a call to confirm and 14 hours after purchasing my bike, it was deleivered to me in excellent order.
In all, it was a little rushed, but we both benefited by the trasnaction. I wish all other customers could have a hassle free expereince that I had.
