A friend of a friend was in Maine and planning to return to Florida so I asked him if he'd consider a minor detour to pick up the BMW in NJ. He said yes so I began making the arrangements. I'll cut to the chase by saying he flaked out on me the night before the scheduled pick up so I needed an alternative means of transporting the bike and a few boxes.
During a web search I found uShip, went through the services offered and went shopping for a carrier. Offers started coming through within the hour. The fees ran from my "u name it price" of 400 up to double that at 800. I've got family in the Marine Corps so asked if Mike from Semper Fi was a Marine. Indeed he was so that combined with the price and feedback were enough for me to make the reservation.
This was a relatively stress free experience to begin with but now that a shipment was been completed I have referred uShip to a couple other people. It will be my first stop in the event I need anything else moved. Excellent Service!
