I could not find any rescue contacts near this shelter to help. A dog with only a few days left needed rescue, and I was losing hope of finding him a way out. I posted an ad on this site and received a lot of responses. My only regret was not being able to thank the people who did respond, as a dog's life depended on a ride out.
The transporter that I chose, safehaventransport, had many positive reviews. As I was deciding on someone I would never get to meet, reliability was an important consideration. George was willing to provide a crate, as I was states away and didn't have the means to. He followed through, kept in touch, and our rescued dog arrived at his destination safe and sound. He is someone I would definitely use again, especially in an urgent situation like this.
I would definitely use this website again, it made all the difference for the life of this dog!
