When I first looked at uShip, as I considered making a purchase in Florida to have shipped to Washington State, I entered my information in brief form to get an idea of cost so I could decide if it would be worth the purchase. I did not enter enough information and got a low quote and so made the purchase. When I called the shipper I discovered my item would cost more than he quoted to ship and he could not ship it.
I felt stuck at first but then I reentered the specifics in detail of what I wanted shipped and began asking for bids. At first the bids were so high it made the purchase unreasonable. Finally I got a reasonable bid, although still far more than the first bid which helped me make the decision to purchase.
The shipper ran into a problem he recognized and helped me solve it and eventually I received the shipment.
I would use uShip again, however, if the product was unique like what I shipped, I would proceed carefully before making the purchase entering in as much detail as possible to get a bid.
