This was my 1st time using Uship and my 1st time buying from a military surplus location in my state. I bought 2 generator trailers w/ 2 generators on each trailer. I had not seen the items in person, only the pics that were on the auction page. You have 10 days to remove the items after winning/paying so I listed the shipments to see what it would cost to have someone deliver them compared to me having to go get them in the time frame I had. I received multiple bids within just a few days. I chose a service provider that had the 2nd to the lowest bid. I did so because he asked questions and answered my questions. I could have accepted the lowest bidder but there was no info to go on and no questions were asked so I went with "GeneSS" because I felt better knowing some questions had been addressed. GeneSS was in route to pick up my items in Ames, Iowa after a deliver he made and I discovered the person in charge at my location was leaving for 2 days for meetings. I had emailed and faxed the copies of the receipts and authorization paper required by them to allow pickup. No other person is there to allow pick up of items so even though they were paid for and had all the paperwork, my items could not be pointed out or allowed to leave. GeneSS tried to figure out which items were mine based in the pics/descriptions but there was way too many to look at up there. He had to stay in a hotel for 2 days until the guy came back. By then everything was mud and swamped from the rains we had. They helped load the items on GeneSS trailer, but stuck there forklifts and tractors in the mud in the process. The whole process does not run smoothly with only one person running things there. GeneSS got loaded and made it to my location and we had some problems unloading due to flat tires on my 2 trailers. I think it took a little longer then he planned to unload but he didn't say anything about it. I would use Uship and GeneSS again without a doubt. It saved me time and money.
