I was shipping a motorcycle. Earl, my shipper, quoted me $500 to ship it. I agreed and paid a $77.40 down payment, including the $13 uShip fee and it ended up around 90$ or so including the fee.
I went to the bank and took out the $422.60 to pay Earl. When Earl arrives he says I only owe him $338, a difference of $84.60. I gave him the entire amount because I'm paying him for the job, his communication, and his overnight shipping of the bike to me. I just was worried why he thought I only owed him $338 instead of the whole $422.60 that I was the remainder of the $500 we agreed upon.
Aside from that, uShip is new to me and I did like the ability to post a job and have bids. The fee wasn't outrageous and Earl was a very nice guy.
