I called a variety of commercial vendors in addition to posting my move on U-Ship. Almost every one of the commercial vendors named U-Ship by name and warned me against using the service. They told me that the U-Ship carriers were either not insured, not legal, were disreputable, or had problems that prevented them from working for commercial carriers. This caused me a great deal of concern. I did however go with U-Ship due to the much lower shipping cost and had a very pleasant experience with the move. With my highest commercial bid of over $6,000, I saved over $4,000 on this move. I would use U-Ship again.
