Before I booked with Jeff I tried to work with a broker. Every time I called them they had another story about a breakdown, or trucks with not quite enough room, etc. What I came to realize is that they had submitted a bid with no idea of who would carry the load and when they couldn't make a match they told me stories to put me off hoping that someone would eventually want the load.
Finally I gave up after 3 weeks and re-listed with an owner operator. He knew his schedule and my load mattered to him so I got quick low cost service.
If time matters to you do not accept the bid of a broker, book with the person who owns and drives the truck.
