We did not know about uShip when we first made arrangements to have our late '60's Pontiac transported. Our first contract was with a large transport company that offers transportation quotes on the ebay listing from which we purchased our car. Their quote seemed reasonable and they said they were able to transport the car, even though it was not running (non-operational). However, after we'd already paid them and they contacted the seller of the car (to arrange for the pickup), it became clear that the unknown condition of the brakes was going to be an issue. It turns out to be a very good thing that we were unable to complete the transport with this company, because they only contract with 7-10-car carriers and the location of the car would have made it extremely difficult for loading. The car was located on private property off a narrow street and it would have had to be moved out into the street for loading. This situation clearly was NOT suitable for one of the large car carriers!! So we started searching for another option for the transport and found uShip on another ebay vehicle listing. It looks like the seller had added information at the bottom of their listing that advertised uShip, and that was the first information we had about uShip. From there, the rest of the experience was SO EASY! We were able to create a shipment and described the situation with the car so that potential transporters would be aware of our particular needs. We searched for shippers in our midwestern region and requested a few bids. But our shipper actually found us and submitted a bid. We were able to ask questions and it became clear VERY QUICKLY that FairDealShipping was PERFECT for this job! Once we determined he was the right one for us, we accepted his bid and he was in contact with us the same day! We will recommend uShip to anyone we run across that needs to have a vehicle or any large item(s) transported!!! We even saved $100 off the cost of the large car-carrier co.! Thx!
