I found just the Ebay deal on a Hobie kayak that I'd been looking for and started to place my bid. The only problem was that the seller specified local pickup only. The cheapest rate I could find for shipping a 12 foot long kayak from southwest Florida to northwest Georgia was nearly $400. I found out about Uship and placed my shipping request. Within hours I had three quotes ranging from one to two hundred dollars. I picked the quote for $125 because the guy had a great feedback rating. He picked it up the next day and delivered it to my door the next day. How cool is that!
