My experience with my actual shipper was great. However, my experience with uShip was somewhat frustrating. I had 3 different guys bid on hauling my tractor from Michigan to W. Virginia. The low bidder, by a pretty good amount, was a trucker new to uShip with no feedback.
UShip wouldn't permit me to obtain any contact info to check out whether the trucker was legitimate- wouldn't even let the trucker give me his insurance agents phone number. UShip is so paranoid they might loose out on few dollars of commissions that they make it damn near impossible to discover whether a new shipper is reliable and properly insured.
The uShip Greed and paranoia have left somewhat of a bad taste. I'll probably use the service again but might have to hold my nose while doing so. They need to relax a bit and be a little more open with contact info on truckers with little or no feedback
