Why I use Uship can maybe best be told from a very unpleasant experience I had with a major trucking company. I booked a shipment with this company using my good faith weight and dimensions. I told them exactly what was being shipped. Later, they sent me a "reinspection" notice with ridiculous extra charges which doubled my original quote. When I protested and offered a 20% increase due to extra weight (their scales), they did not respond and immediately turned over my account to a collection agency!
The point is that I have none of these problems with Uship. Shipping is by competitive bidding and feedback gives me the assurance that the folks I pick have done this before successfully for others. What could be better! Those traditional mega-managed and mega-overhead companies better be on their toes!
