I had an 11 foot sailing kayak I needed to transport from Boston metro west to Chicago metro west. It was an awkward thing to ship, because it consisted of many pieces. I considered forward air, but the packing requirements were more than I wanted to deal with. I ended up posting it on uShip and had 4 offers within a couple days, all very reasonable. The shipper I used was great, good communication, no hassles, everything delivered quickly and as expected. The boat went in the back of a moving truck so I really didn't have to do any packing. I would definitely use uShip again.
