We discovered UShip when we needed to get a piece of furniture from the Midwest. Usually, we would make the pick-up ourselves and have a mini-vacation, but this time work schedules prevented it. An acquaintance suggested UShip, and the experience was great.
Since that time, we've started restoring a 1969 VW Bus, picking up parts when and where we can. UShip made it possible for us to get a roof rack from Charlotte and a bench seat/bed from Beaufort in the same week, even though our Bus (which we'd usually use for transporting) is in the middle of restoration.
