I moved to Florida from California a little over a year ago and had to leave my dog with my best friend. He is a large breed dog so shipping him 3000 miles was going to cost me between $800-$1100. That is the price of a pet travel certificate, cargo plane ticket or trucking company estimate and an airline approved dog crate. There are a ton of airline rules and restrictions based on breed due to temperature changes in different stop-over cities. Plus the airlines only allow a 7 day window of time to book the ticket and ship the dog. Between the short booking window, airline restrictions and managing all the travel and vet arrangements from 3000 miles away, getting my dog home felt like it was never going to happen. One day I Google searched pet travel and Uship appeared. I am familiar with the fundamentals of Ebay so after some research I decided to list my dog on Uship. About two days after my post I received a bid to ship my dog. The bid was from a gentleman who happened to live here in Florida and was driving a boat to the city where my dog was staying in California. He said he would enjoy the company and bid a little under $300 to bring my dog home. At first I was hesitant to use the service but after reading the service provider's profile, feedback and asking a few questions I started to feel like this might just work. I received other emails with bids that were from trucking companies all in the $650-$800 range who also needed a pet travel certificate to ship my dog. Needless to say the $300 bid from the person who had previous animal shipping experience and 100% positive feedback got my business. I accepted the bid and two weeks later my dog was delivered. The service provider stayed in contact with me providing status of my dog. Delivery was early and my dog arrived happy and was well taken care of. I have never been so satisfied with a purchase. I will definitely use Uship again. I have recommended Uship and the service provider to everyone I know!
