I needed to ship my truck to my father's house in NC. Mr. Baldman (BM) won the bid. While waiting for Mr. BM's confirmation, my father notified me that he wanted to have the truck delivered to a repair shop instead of his house. the bid was already set to be delivered to my father's house, but Mr.BM did not have any problems changing the drop off point from my father's house to the repair shop.
On the pick up day, Mr.BM called my home many times and left messages to make sure someone would be aware that he was on his way to pick up the truck. Even while stuck in the Hampton Roads rush-hour traffic, he kept us aware of his situation and arrival time. I was grateful for that because we are a busy family and I was able to manage shuffling the kids btwn my wife and I, and even picking up a nephew from the norfolk airport, while waiting for Mr.BM to arrive.
Mr. BM arrived, and with some minor re-arranging of his equipment, loaded the 1996 Ford Explorer onto his trailer (actually tricked me into driving it up). He proceded to secure the vehicle and ater signing some paperwork, he was gone.
I called my father the next day and he confirmed that the Explorer had arrived as scheduled. He also was impressed at the decent nature, and the straight forward attitude of Mr. BM.
My take is that Mr. BM is a busy man, but still will bend over backwards to accomodate any requirements, if needed, when capable, providing a service that many of us take for granted. People like him deserve our support. In my line of work I don't get to meet people like him and I was impressed.
I was glad to have met Mr. BM and look forward to requiring his services again someday.
