We purchased a travel trailer from a dealership in Ohio. The quotes they were getting for shipping were almost twice the amount we were quoted on uShip. It is very difficult to get things to Alaska anyway, but when you don't even know the people transporting your goods, it makes the experience that much more nerve-racking. Our driver was great! He kept us informed about his progress through Canada and Alaska and he was as accessible as he could be considering the remote nature of the trip. Our trailer arrived in good condition. The only hiccup in the entire process was the timing of the transfer. We had travel plans to go to the lower 48 the night our unit arrived in Alaska. Our driver was very accommodating during this whole situation. He delivered the trailer to our house and worked with our neighbor to transfer the keys and paperwork and accept payment. Overall, the experience was positive. Even though we have never officially met, we would certainly use the services of our driver again.
