I bought a Freisian Mare and her 3 month old filly. I have a trailer and a truck but started hearing about terrible weather and thought it would be easier for someone leaving the area to bring them to me rather than me drive to unfamiliar territory in bad weather and then come back. So I decided to try Uship. I have never used a transport before but I have been with a friend who used a local and was not pleased with the drivers attitude, so I was sceptical. Well the schedule got all off due to the fog and black ice on the roads on the trip but saftey was my first concern. As long as everyone arrived intact I didn't care how long it took. The schedule got way off but when they did arrive it was all worth the wait and Monday morning 2 days after the horses arrived I was 100 miles from home and my transmission died very unexpectedly so if I think about it, mile wise I would have been stuck somewhere on the road with the horses or on the way to pick them up. It would have been devistating, it was bad enough that I was 100 miles from home when it happened. I will use UShip again before I attempt to do it myself. Thank you UShip!
