I bought a 1980 Goldwing from a friend I have known since before this motorcycle was new about two years ago. Changing jobs and relocation thwarted my efforts to pick the bike up sooner and I had pretty much given up hope on getting it this year before the weather in Minnesota got too cold for the 1,200 mile ride to Atlanta.
We had been working on one of those "friend of a friend" options for the last nine months and it never materialized. I had listed it on Uship last spring but family matters got in the way and it was easier to put off moving the bike.
I decided to try listing the move again to see if I could get anything on my second time around. Within 12 hours I had two bids and things were interesting. I had used the "most you will pay" option to give bidders an idea of what my price range was. The next bid was an acceptance and after some bouncing of messages back and forth I decided to book the reservation.
72 hours later my new (to me) Goldwing arrived in perfect condition and I couldn't be happier with the entire transaction.
