My first experience with uShip was mostly favorable. I got a sufficient number of bids and most of them were in range of my budget. The response portion was a little confusing, as there is no way to communicate with the bidder until you have accepted their bid, other than to "ask a question" even if you only need to leave a response. Once understood, that portion of the negotiations went more smoothly.
I also had to list my couch twice, because the system told me that my bid request had timed out, even though it actually had not.
I would definitely use the uShip system again!
I estimate we saved close to $300 using uShip versus a moving company.
