I had purchased a Chinchilla kit to take to Texas where my daughter had plans to breed her with her own. When I contacted the Airlines to take her as a "carry on" I was told that I could not transport her. My grandchildren were very upset.
Just on a spur of the moment, I googled shipping small pets, thinking that breeders had to be able to ship their animals to buyers.
Within 24 hours I had three bids to transport the baby Chinchilla. I met the shipper at an agreed upon location two days before my flight. The Chinchilla arrived in Texas before I did!
What appeared to be a hopeless situation developed into a fantastic story for my Grand daughters to share with their friends.
