My father bought a 55 Special and my uncle a 55 Super together in New York when they returned in the summer of 1955 from their assignments as U.S. Army officers in Greece. 7 of us used to travel across the country from states in the east to Salt Lake every summer to see the Grand Parents in Utah. Hope I have as much luck restoring it as I had shipping it.
