I was shipping a '94 GMC Yukon from Clearwater, FL to Sparta, GA. I had concerns about whether the vehicle would make the trip if I drove it so I listed it for transport on uShip.
First the transport previous to mine showed up late which pushed the schedule back a day. Then the driver had high winds to deal with causing him to delay due to safety concerns. It was pouring rain when he finally arrived to pick up my car.
On the way up the interstate, apparently a semi tanker flipped and spilled fuel. The interstate was closed for about 10 hours. After they finally opened it again and everything seemed like it was going fine, the trailer had a tire blow out. After that was repaired, the bad luck ended.
My plan was to receive the car on Thursday and for me to return to FL on Friday morning. Since my schedule was flexible I was able to wait for the Yukon to arrive on Friday afternoon and to drive back on Saturday.
All in all, the shipment was 24 hours late, but it came through the incredible string of unfortunate events and all is well. I would use the shipper again if another need arises.
