Table belonged to my Great Grandmother on my grandpa's side. My aunt & uncle have moved into a retirement community & didn't have room to keep it. The original plan was for me to drive down and pick it up (I'm off work for several weeks for a couple of shoulder and arm surgeries)
After some calls between us, my wife told me about u-ship. I put up a bid to move the table from South Carolina to Maryland.
The shipper made a bid that was probably cheaper than what I could drive there for. He coordinated with my aunt & uncle... Turns out his shipping service fell into a crack in the rules, and it would be hard for him to get into their community. They called me, I called him, he called them - my relatives packed up the table and met the shipper in a Wal*Mart parking lot down the road from their community.
The shipper got on the road and gave me a call - he would be here between 6 and 7 the next morning! Sure enough, he arrived in an enterprise rental van. The table was wrapped in blankets, and he carried into my garage for me.
Thanks
