Montway gave me a competitive bid to ship my new porsche from Chicago to LA. The offered great communication during the entire transaction and my car arrived safely when expected.
A few things I learned:
- Since a trucker's schedule depends so much on other cars in the load, it's difficult for them to accurately tell you when they will pick up or drop off til right beforehand. I.e., their pickup was a day later than first promised, and their delivery was literally at the very end of their 2-day estimation.
- The car showed up totally covered in a layer of dirt. I presume it was spray from dirty winter highways in the midwest.
- The car carrier couldn't make it to the final delivery address, it was too large. So be prepared to move it yourself a few blocks or pick a carrier that uses a smaller vehicle.
