i bought a 1999 chevy 3500 dually, it has a blown motor which I intend to replace. Richard from Low freezehauling won the bid, the price was excellent and he was flexible with time which meant I had time to organise with the seller and sorting out where I would put the truck, I live in manhattan and the truck was upstate about 80 miles away. Initially i was contacted by an operator and had a transaction a bit like sending a telegram. I didn't think too much of it but figured it was a pretty cool way to comunicate with someone one on the road, or maybe they had an accent or something. we comunicated by the operator the whole transaction and it sort of had me thinking how unique that I could find someone via computer and then comunicate the whole time through an operator, it was a sureal experience and made me realise we really do live in a different age with computers and new ways of communicating. of course it also involved moving a heavy piece of equipment from one place to another. Richard was of course fantastic and very experienced with loading, driving and unloading something that was not self propeled. The guy I bought the truck from who does not use a computer was sort of in a state of disbelief, about the whole thing, and I still have an image of him wide eyed and in disbelief.
