I had the choice of shipping my 1969 Corvette, my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, - or the 1993 Geo Metro to my new residence in California. Not that I was using the Metro for a 'test' vehicle to see how the shipper DAS handled the long transport from CT to CA - I felt it reflected the 'green lifestyle'. It will blow the doors off - mileage wise - of any hybrid vehicle -(Top 50 city/58 highway)! All you need to do in order to drive it is leave your pride at home, wear your collar up and use a pair of cheap sun glasses so no one recognizes you. I actually get more stares -(they could be looks of pity) with the Geo then when I drive the 'Vette'. Plus somehow if it did blow off the trailer, it would make a great golf cart or kid's Go-cart for Christmas. To the point, DAS gave me a great price, great service, and delivered the 1993 Metro looking BETTER the when it was in CT! How they managed to get a half inch of oak sap off the car when they washed it was a miracle in itself. When Mike the driver made the delivery from the transport, he had a BMW, a Porsche and my Geo Metro; and they all looked Spectacular! I could hardly tell them a part - (it WAS an early morning shipment, and I DID have three cups of strong French Roast coffee).
