Uship.com really came thru for us. My mother died and left behind a sweet but very nervous dog. My mother was very concerned about what would happen to her dog if anything ever happened to her. Sadly something did.
The big problem for us was that the dog, Bobbie, was with my mom's friend in Chicago and we live in Portland, OR. Our problems with flying Bobbie were numerous: getting Bobbie to the airport, getting an acceptable shipping container, proof of shots, etc.
So I did a search on the computer and found Uship.com. Initially I was pessimistic about finding any takers. Gratefully we got bidders within a couple of days. We finally settled on a shipper, Jackie.
We got a call from my mother's friend on the day of the pickup and she told us that all went well with the transfer. We kept in contact with Jackie as she drove thru the states of IL, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. We knew that Bobbie is naturally nervous but it sounded like she was very comfortable in Jackie's van. Jackie got to us in a very reasonable amount of time and now Bobbie is very happy in her new home and I know my mom is looking down on us and is overjoyed that her Bobbie ended up with us!
